Go Audio release 'Woodchuck' EP
For anyone out there attempting to pigeonhole Go:Audio, good luck. Much about this band is unusual. They don’t have, and don’t want, a bass player. They write songs that can be stripped down and played on an acoustic guitar, but in the studio and onstage they utilise synthesisers, keyboards, Apple Mac’s, and all sorts of devices you won’t see around a campfire. They’re either a rock band you can dance to, or else a dance act that you can rock out to. You decide.
To help with the decision making process, the band are set to unveil ‘Woodchuck’, their debut EP. Released through Epic Records, the four track outing displays the facets of this fascinating band. There are the pop sensibilities of the effervescent title track ‘Forget About It’, which displays the band’s more controlled, and more emotive side. A slightly darker side of the bands sound and style is represented with a live cut, the thrilling ‘So Quiet You Were’. While the quartet of compositions is fulfilled by a remix, ‘Does It Really Matter?’ reworked by Dallas’ masterful Secret Handshake.
Go:Audio have toured and played with the likes of Self Against City, The Secret Handshake, Tonight Is Goodbye, Say Anything, Sherwood, Kill The Arcade, Hellogoodbye, Lights and Sounds, InMe and The Graduate. With a Nov and Dec tour across UK with Hellogoodbye and Say Anything (London date Brixton Academy 7th December), and an exhaustive touring plan for 08, including a University tour Jan/ Feb, a Barfly tour in March and further major support tours TBC, Go:Audio will be coming to a city, town or village near you SOON!!!!
