Creamfields UK '07

Global Gathering has been and gone, leaving in its wake a trail of muddy ug boots and discarded glowsticks. Thank goodness for Creamfields '07 then! Yup, dance fans need not despair because the UK's fave electronic music festival returns on Bank Holiday weekend. From 3pm on Saturday 25th until the early hours of the Sunday morning, the rural setting that is the tree-lined idyll of Daresbury, Cheshire will be transformed into a mashed-up rave. So, why do you not yet have a ticket? I guess I'll have to convince you by letting you know who's playing...

Headliners this year are the one and only Chemical Brothers, set to 'do it again' and get everyone in attendance moving and shaking to their block rockin' beats. Joined on the Main Stage by the likes of Groove Armada, Kelis, LCD Soundsystem and man of the moment Mark Ronson, the Chemicals are sure to top off an immense line-up.

If none of those acts float your boat (and, if not, what the hell is wrong with you?) then the rest of the acts on the bill are sure to impress. Upcoming superstar DJs like Kissy Sell Out and Sander Kleinenberg join the tried-and-tested likes of Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten and Erick Morillo. If sassy indie/dance crossover acts are your thing, why not catch Mercury-nominated New Young Pony Club or Liverpool duo Ladytron? Maybe your thing is drum 'n' bass, in which case a live set from Pendulum is sure to cause some shockwaves.

The point is, you won't be stuck for choice. Away from the main stage, there are seven additional stages (eight if you opt for the more expensive VIP Hospitality ticket) featuring the hottest DJ talent and live acts. The Chibuku Arena, co-hosted by Annie Mac, presents the super-cool likes of MSTRKRFT, Simian Mobile Disco and Felix Da Housecat while the Scratch Perverts present the Beatdown area, where cutting-edge favourites like DJ Yoda and Evil Nine join the Perverts themselves. New for this year is the MySpace Futurism stage, headlined by kings of the mixed tape, 2ManyDJs, with able support coming from Tiga and Justice. All stages and acts are listed below but one must also mention the Strongbow Ciderhouse, a staple of any cider-lover's festival experience!

If you like the sound of all that, tickets can be purchased through the usual internet outlets, costing £57.00 and booking fee. For more info, telephone 0151 707 1309 or, alternatively, visit either www.creamfields.com or www.myspace.com/officialcreamfields
