Tim Deluxe - Let The Beats Roll

Now Let The Beats Roll! Whoop! Whoop! Whoop! Will someone pass the cough medicine? Let The Beats Roll attempts to resurrect short-lived dance sub-genre "hooligan house". With a sound styled round big, chunky beats and blokey vocals, it was the Stella 'n' shirts off answer to "handbag house" and comprised of tunes by Grafiti, Audio Bullys, Basement Jaxx and, er, that's possibly your lot.

Here, producer Tim "It Just Won't Do" Deluxe teams up with Audio Bully Simon Franks for a track which sounds just like, er, Audio Bullys. The trouble is Audio Bullys only ever had one really good tune (for the record, We Don't Care), and quickly became a tiring prospect. There are various mixes here - club mixes, dub mixes, Rennie Pilgrim mixes and ten pence pick 'n' mixes (probably) - but they all sound pretty much the same. Now Let The Beats Roll! Whoop! Whoop! Whoop!
