Bonde Do Role - Spitz London
Brazil's Bonde Do Role are a three piece act who specialise in rapping over samples and backing tracks.
Marina, Pedro and Gorky put on one hell of a show, with the fun never stopping.Coming across as raps answer to their fellow countrymen CSS or the Brazilian Kid Carpet. The trio add their our kind of magic to intros from "The final countdown", "I believe in a thing called love" and "Summer nights" amongst others, alongside their own backing and beats.
Signed to Domino records in the UK the band played tracks from their forthcoming debut album keeping the pace up throughout their set.
The band involved the audience during the show, calling for raised hands and asking for noise, dragging one poor guy onstage for failing to comply!
He was a good sport mind you and happily danced onstage with Marina, taking part in a bit of "Bump and Grind"! (he's the one wearing the checked shirt in the pictures).
There was a lot of onstage chaos throughout the night alongside the trio's very infectious music.I smiled all the way through the show and laughed on several occasions so went home extremely happy.
Bonde Do Role are playing several UK Festivals this Summer so there's plenty of opportunity to see them I live.I'd recommend seeing them in a smaller venue if possible though as they are best sampled in an intimate setting.
The band release their single "Office boy" on May the 21st on Domino Records with their self titled debut album following on the 4th of June.
