Busy P - Rainbow Man

Those with an eye on the dance scene will have some sort of expectations from a release on French label Ed Banger Records (also home to Justice). Busy P here delivers in spades: harsh digital noise, quick flying samples, and - to steal a phrase from The Chemical Brothers - block-rocking beats. In short, electronic music with rock 'n' roll attitude and not exactly pretty; the kind of thing that will induce a tide of sweat and/or have your make-up running. But you party animals won't care. The speaker devastation only lets up slightly on Chop Suey, a more hip-hop flavoured track. Not a bad release, but it's accompanied by a vague feeling of over-familiarity.
