Die Hunns - You Rot Me

Sometimes all it takes is just a little twist to make the everyday more interesting. Like splashing some Worcester Sauce atop your cheese on toast. Or peeing outdoors.

In many respects, You Rot Me is fairly workaday 70s-style pub rock but throw in the shared vocals of US Bombs frontman Duane Peters and ex-Nashville Pussy bassist Corey Parks and somehow it works. Peters has a world-weariness to his gruff vocals that brings to mind Lou Reed and Parks serves to bring a little sassiness to proceedings.

This is one those albums that offers few surprises, but standout tracks like "Jorge" (with its Damned-inspired riff) and "Don't Want To Hear" simply ask to be cranked to neighbourhood annoying level.
