The New Shapes - There's No Escaping You

Summer may be nearly over, but that doesn't seem to worry The New Shapes, who are releasing a single full of melodic riffs of the type that just sound better when the sun is shining. The influence of sixties pop (particularly The Beatles) is evident on There's No Escaping You, a song with a big sing-a-long chorus and the odd random shake of a tambourine.

Flip-side I Can Prove It is also pretty good well, equally as nostalgic as its companion. The band are touring throughout the UK in September and October, launching the single at The Social in London on the 25th.
