Alice Jemima returns with her new track 'Icarus', written with Sophie Ellis-Bextor

We're excited to be able to post news of Alice Jemima's return with her new track, 'Icarus', penned with Sophie Ellis Bextor. Have a listen below...

It's been two years since Alice Jemima's last album - the 2017 release was one of our favourites of the year and received a rave 9/10 review on the site. Her new track keeps that playful vibe that we really liked about her last release but with an added dance influence courtesy of Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

'Icarus’ is the first single to be released from her much anticipated second album to be released later this year. ‘Icarus’ spearheads a more upbeat pop-infused return for Alice but her trademark sultry vocals and unique production style is still very much evident.

In her own words ‘Icarus a song based on a story from Greek Mythology – in which Icarus flies too close to the sun, his wings catch fire and he drowns in the sea.  In the song the plea is for the relationship to reach the heights of being in love, but without the fear of falling’
