Betty Curse - Barfly London

Betty Curse brought her radio friendly tunes of dark delight to Camden's sleazy Barfly.
This headline London date was part of a short tour to promote Betty Curse's first major single release "God this hurts".A previous single "Excuse all the blood" appeared earlier this year but it had limited availability. This is the first real opportunity that the Great British public have had to welcome the Curse family into their homes, although the video for the single has been receiving heavy rotation on several of the music channels on TV.
"Excuse..." was the first song of the shortish but spikey set unveiled at the Barfly with "Girl with yellow hair","Stay out of my way" and "Met on the net" some of the other tracks aired tonight that will probably feature on the debut Betty Curse album.
The perfectly preened Punk Princess prowled the stage, appearing almost feral at times while the rest of the Curse's - John Adam and Chris backed the backcombed bawler. An evening with the Curse family can be a very rewarding experience as the four band members put a lot into their performance, with Betty especially throwing herself into her work, almost bending over backwards to entertain the assembled masses.
Betty Curse has a large following on My Space and she thanked the fans who visited the site during the set.The band have built up a large following through the web as site visitors have been able to sample their catchy Pop Punk anthems
After the show Betty and the boys could be seen chatting to fans, signing set lists and generally being friendly.A world away from the aggressive performance moments earlier.

"God this hurts" is available from the 21st of August with an album to follow at the end of October.
You can listen to four Betty Curse tracks on the band's My Space page.
