Capulet - The World Is A Tragic Place, But There Is Grace All Around Us, So Attend To The Grace
When a band come to so completely define a genre, as Mogwai have done, then it becomes very difficult for any other act to carve themselves a distinctive niche within the format.
So already you have a rough idea of what Capulet sound like without even having heard a single note. Already you are thinking gentle arpeggios prefacing full-on cacophony. Well ... you'd be mostly right.
To be fair, Capulet's arpeggios tend to be very pretty and the noisy bits evoke OK Computer to some extent. Oddly enough, there's even a brief snatch that's a ringer for Clarity-era Jimmy Eat World - which will probably surprise the band as much as anyone.
Clocking in at around the 35 minute mark, it's one of those rare occasions where you'd wished they'd indulged themselves and given us a little more. File under "promising".
