Craig Richards & Transparent Sound (Live) - The Two Headed Monster

So called because one disc is mixed by Craig Richards and the other by Transparent Sound, The Two Headed Monster sticks to the minimal, the spaced out and the downright weird. Those with a PhD in Electronic and Dance Music should have fun trying to categorise individual tracks at least.

Coccopuffs, for example, epitomises 'random', the title being repeated over a twinkly backing, while Grace (Anxiety) is as dark and muddled as one might expect. Indeed, on Richards' disc, only an untitled tune by Joel Mull comes close to commercial. Transparent Sound's mix is a smoother and easier listen, juxtaposing melodies with acid noise, but it's still territory best suited to connoisseurs of experimental electronica.
