Demons & Lies is the new video from HANĀ
Electro-pop artist HANĀ has released brilliant new single and video Demons & Lies. Watch and listen above.
Originally from Cumbria but now based in Manchester, 20-year-old HANĀ wrote her first song aged 14 after being taught to play the piano by her father. After practicing performing arts at college and now studying songwriting, HANĀ released her first single 'Traitors' earlier this year which introduced her conscious electro-pop sound. You can listen to 'Traitors' below.
New single 'Demons & Lies' tells the story of a broken relationship and unrequited love through erratic beats that build alongside decisive vocals. The video was shot at home with a video director friend and uses the colour red, alongside HANĀ herself, to express the meaning of the song. HANĀ says;
“Demons & Lies is about a one-sided relationship, where the girl is suffering from her insecurities and doubts, making her feel that she is not enough for the boy she loves. When deep down she has realised that he is no longer who she thought he was; his heart is full of demons and lies. I think a lot of people can relate to this.”
HANĀ is currently in the studio working on new music and will be announcing further releases soon.
