Short notice, we know, but if you've nothing planned for this New Year's Eve, you could do worse than head along to London's Buffalo Bar for an evening of Rock 'n' Roll type fun and games. The Hells Headline, and there's DJ action from Stuart Plimsoles and Tom and Paul Artrocker.
Here's the press release from The Hells
Ippy and Kevin are the crutial twin-heart of this London based rock'n'roll beast who are at the head of the current London Underground scene. From Spain and Philadelphia respectively they formed THE HELLS in 'happenin' London last year with ICARUS LINE drummer Jeff Watson. After gigs with The BURNING BRIDES , SOLEDAD BROTHERS, RAPTURE and BLACK KEYS, they recorded a killer debut mini album "THE HELLS" released on Artrocker on June 23rd. With Jeff back in the Icarus Line hotseat, they recruited a WARM JET (Ed) to complete this bass-less power trio. The new HELLS are simply about the most exciting live prospect in London right now and a welcome London based answer to the Detroit invasion. Back from a triumphant CMJ Music Marathon New York show and Amsterdam Paradiso show with The Darkness, the new single "He's the Devil, but I love him so" out on January 12th,is currently Xfm and 6Music playlisted taken from their debut mini album on Artrocker.
