The Flies - The Temptress - Flies release a new single

The Flies return with their first release of 2006. ‘The Temptress’ is taken from the forthcoming eponymous titled album and is the second official single release from the band following ‘Walking On The Sand’ in September 2005.

The Temptress is a sultry and seductive audio blend of David Lynch & Walt Disney. On the one hand a playful longing for something that will never be. On the other, a dark & sexy drive through a land of lust navigated by Sean Cook’s whispered vocals. It’s the moment just after you’ve done something you know really shouldn’t have, just as the thrill starts to be replaced by fear.

With an insatiable appetite for the contradictory, the video sees Cook appear in Sinatra crooner pose, telling tales of the unexpected and looking more rock ‘n’ roll than ever. The Flies are set to become of this year’s musical highlights – already the cult status of the band is unquestionable, the heritage undeniable, the live shows tantalisingly distant. Now is the time to be tempted into their enigmatic world.

Making their first move outside of the digital space, The Temptress is to be released not only as a digital download but also on CD and vinyl via Genepool Records (powered by Universal Digital).

The Temptress is released on April 17th. Follow the link to download the video
