The Flaming Lips - Bohemian Rhapsody

Available on I-tunes as a bonus track on "At War With the Mystics", The Flaming Lips bring you their version of the classic Queen song. And very cool it is too - although to be fair, more of a copy than a re-interpretation. There are a few added "yeah yeah yeahs!" in the crazy bit, but its all pretty much as you've heard it before.

That said, it doesn't stop it being completely fantastic. The "Wayne's World" bit (you know what I mean) is marvellous, all fuzzed up guitars against Coyne's passionate vocal. And the "scaramouche/fandango" section is very cool - the band clearly had a lot of fun with it, bordering on the downright silly at times.

It's sort of a cross between a faithful re-make and The Flaming Lips just having a bit of a laugh. That said, it's all good, and well worth shelling out 79p for.
