We Used To Make Things Release New Single 'Yes Man'
'Yes Man' is the new single from East London band We Used To Make Things. Taken from their self-titled album released last year, the song is a chaotic, angry cry against apathy and dissatisfaction.
The eight-piece group formed after frontman, Matthew, lost his job as a youth worker in the name of austerity. Disillusioned with life, he began to write lyrics about the kind of world we live in.
Self-producing their own album, the band are very enthusiastic about their DIY ethics. The group describe the record as a mix of The Specials' horn section, The Kinks’ worldview, The Beatles’ hooks, The Beach Boys’ harmonies, The Divine Comedy’s wit and Elbow’s grandeur.
