The Motorettes & Google Idol

Google Idol runs competitions for people to submit clips of themselves lip-synching to their favourite music, the entries are voted on by the public in heats until a winner is found and entries are put through based on stuff like originality, creativity, humour and choreography. Their first competition just came to a close and The Motorettes thought it would be cool to run their own competition in collaboration with them, so people can make their own entries for their next single 'You Gotta Look The Parts'!

The competition runs for two weeks, public voting will begin April 15th for one week and the six top winning entries will then be compiled to create the actual music video for the single, which will appear on your TV screens from 1st May.

So if you've got a web-cam.... and you want to enter! Or just follow the competition over the next few weeks go to and go to the 'originals' competition!

We need your help

Running a website like The Digital Fix - especially one with over 20 years of content and an active community - costs lots of money and we need your help. As advertising income for independent sites continues to contract we are looking at other ways of supporting the site hosting and paying for content.

You can help us by using the links on The Digital Fix to buy your films, games and music and we ask that you try to avoid blocking our ads if you can. You can also help directly for just a few pennies per day via our Patreon - and you can even pay to have ads removed from the site entirely.
