More info. on the bands playing:
When Alan Mcgee decided to make Budapest part of his ever extending indie colony, Hungarian darlings The Puzzle were first to top the bill at his Eastern European version of the Death Disco clubnight. Since then the band left Hungary behind for the bright lights of London’s music scene and tonight they continue their quest to conquer the city.
The Futureheads have called The Motorettes the best band in the world, new single ‘Super Heartbeats’ has been described as “the sound of the North rising up in a shared cry of love and angst”, oh…and T4 and MTV2 can’t get enough. Can you afford to miss them?
Orson are the third band of recent times to grace the front cover of Sunday Times Culture magazine (the previous two were U2 and Coldplay) hailed as “the missing link between The Rolling Stones and Scissor Sisters” by Radio 1, the band’s new single ‘No Tomorrow” was the most downloaded iTunes Single Of The Week in Apple’s history.
This is all from a band who were only signed after their performance at last Autumn’s In The City in Manchester. The band’s meteoric rise to fame shows no signs of slowing down, with them appearing on Top of the Pops last Sunday and rocketing to the top of everyone’s tips for 2006 lists. Don’t miss it!
