Field Music - If only the moon were up

I must admit, the more this band release singles the more I fall in love with their music. Another amazing signing from Memphis Industries, you’ll have seen their previous two single releases on CDtimes previously.

If only the moon were up is the 3rd single release from the Sunderland pop-sters, and the 3rd single to be pulled from their criminally underrated debut album released in August. Taking its opening from the Beatles school of guitar bashing circa Hard Days Night, with saxophones and an infectious chorus.

But there’s more! Field Music really do go out to town regarding their B-Sides. As the single is available on 3 different formats (CD, 7” and Digital Download via iTunes) they have different B-sides for each media.

Available on CD and Download are the B-sides This is to test your reaction and Can you see anything?. The latter of the two is a collaboration with fellow North-Easters The Futureheads too!
The 7” single, features the wonderful I’m Tired, which sounds like a cross between Field Music’s calmer numbers from the album and The Postal Service.

You can see Field Music on tour with Maximo Park on the following dates:
