Ministry of Sound - The Annual 2006

Just like the Queen’s Speech at Christmas for royalists or Big Brother for Heat magazine readers, the Ministry Annual is a yearly tradition for devoted clubbers. The popular series is famous for its incomparable selection of the biggest and best dance hits of the year and 2006 is another great success.

CD one features some of the biggest names in dance including Basement Jaxx, Armand Helden and The Prodigy, whose classic tune ‘Out of Space’ is treated to a worthy remix by the Audio Bullys. CD two is just as impressive with hits from Boogie Pimps and Soul Seekerz. The only exception is the awful dance version of Nirvana’s masterpiece ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ by the Warp Brothers, some songs should be left alone.

It’s great value for money, an exceptional selection of dance music and has a brilliant cover this year (vivid, brightly coloured tubes containing the classic ministry of sound emblem).
