Victorious Festival 2016 - Day Two - Southsea Seafront, Portsmouth
Victorious Festival takes place at Portsmouth's Southsea Seafront over two days, with around a dozen stages playing host to a variety of acts, including a kids area, making it a very family friendly event.
My Victorious Sunday was a slightly truncated affair. I was travelling back to London that evening, and was unsure whether I'd be able to take in any of headliner Noel Gallagher's set, before I had to leave for my train.
I was in two minds for several hours, but decided to leave early, as the band that preceded Noel - Echo And The Bunnymen, declared they didn't want photographers shooting them, so I called it a day before their appearance, with a set from Ash, my final performance of the weekend.
The Irish trio delivered a crowd pleasing show, including a section of singles, such as 'Girl From Mars', 'Goldfinger' and 'Kung Fu', creating the stand out set of the day, only just beating Will Young, mind you!
The "Pop Idol" was on great form, and full of energy, pulling the crowd from their early afternoon slumber, especially when his confetti canons made an appearance at the end of his opening song - 'Joy'!
Other Sunday sensations included local lass Jerry Williams, Norwegian songstress Dagny and 90's faves Space.
While not as strong a line up for me personally as the previous day, I still had a lot fun attending, so I'll hopefully manage to head along to 2017's Victorious.
