Buzz band Whistlejacket share the lead track from their blissful shoegazey new EP

South-East London buzz band Whistlejacket are back with their new EP ‘Oh Brother’, set for release on 2 September via Fierce Panda Records. Listen to the EP's lead track below, followed by details of the band and their tour, including their biggest headline show to date at London’s The Lexington on 19 September.

Sonically ‘Oh Brother’ features all the traits one would expect from a band at the forefront of London’s shoegaze scene. Swirling guitars meet heavy bass and blissful vocals to make a powerful wall of sound. Lead track ‘Oh Brother’ is the band’s finest work yet – a powerful, driving, slice of trippy pop gold, while ‘Hotter Than Heaven’ is as loud and menacing as the band have ever sounded. This is Whistlejacket firing on all cylinders. Live favourite ‘March Hare’ rounds the EP off in stylish fashion, its devilishly catchy riff sounding as vital as ever.

Having supported the likes of DIIV, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizzard, Yuck and Bully, previously, Whistlejacket have been in the slipstream of some of the finest purveyors of hypnotic, psych rock for some time. ‘Oh Brother’ sees them step out on their own in spectacular fashion, leading the charge for greatness.
