T In The Park 2016 - Friday - Strathallan Castle

The sun shined for the Friday of T In The Park's 21st birthday, it's second stint at Strathallan Castle, with the event headlined by Stone Roses on the Main Stage.

Frontman Ian Brown's vocals were a tiny bit pitchy throughout their set, but the capacity crowd didn't seem to mind, lapping up the band's performance.

I personally found there was more to enjoy throughout Friday on the smaller stages, with the T Break tent offering up a trio of sets that were the highlight's of my day.

Singer/Songwriter Izzy Bizu was an afternoon stand out, with Scottish Retro Rockers - Amorettes delivering a sensational set bringing to mind Suzi Quatro and Girlschool.

I've no idea why Ireland's Ash were also appearing at T Break, a stage usually reserved for upcoming artistes, but they offered up a hits heavy show, including 'Goldfinger', A Life Less Ordinary', 'Kung Fu' and 'Girl From Mars', reminding T attendees why they loved them in the first place.
