The Music Fix Premiere: Oddfellow's Casino share new video ahead of album release
The Music Fix are proud to premiere the new video for Oddfellow's Casino's wonderfully atmospheric track 'MIR', ahead of the release of their album Dust on 22 April via At The Helm Records.
After watching the video, you can read about the band and its driving force David Bramwell below.
The band was formed in 2002 by Sony award- winning singer-songwriter David Bramwell, known for his lyrical mastery and “hauntingly beautiful English sound”. This accomplished seven piece combine cornet, flute, clarinet and indie guitar with electronica, garnering comparisons from Talk Talk, Elbow to Robert Wyatt.
David Bramwell is singer-songwriter in the Brighton-based band, Oddfellow's Casino. Musically he has collaborated with Stereolab, Fujita & Miyagi and Grasscut and won a Sony Silver Award in 2011 for his BBC Radio 3 program, the Haunted Moustache, which featured music from Oddfellow's Casino. He is also the author of the travel memoir, 'The No. 9 Bus to Utopia', and a regular presenter on BBC Radio 3 and 4.
The album features collaborations with Steve Lewis (Fujiya & Miyagi), Andrew Philips (Grasscut) and is produced by Julian Tardo.
Following the success of 2014's ‘The Water Between Us’ Oddfellow's Casino have toured Europe, playing to crowds of 1000+ people performing a live soundtrack to the Spanish Horror film, ‘La Cabina’.
