New track from Natalie Evans - Under The Moon
Medway based singer-songwriter Natalie Evans has posted her latest track to Soundcloud...
Medway-based singer-songwriter Natalie Evans mixes intricate finger-style guitar and harp with nostalgic lyrics and distinctive vocals. Natalie has blended her acoustic sound with an electronic production for the new single ‘Under The Moon’.
“Under The Moon” is an electro harp track with catchy vocal melodies, produced by Ekoda Map and released by independent singles-label, Little L Records. The lyrics tell the story of two lovers who find themselves living on opposite sides of the world and in different time-zones as realised in the words “home to me is travelling in circles with you” and “you are under the moon during my day.” The single is a slight departure from Natalie’s previously more stripped-back sound.
Natalie’s previous EP “Houses” (2013) sold out on both her US and UK tours. . Described as a “dreamy, ethereal triumph” (Rebel Rebel Music) with a “lush arrangement of guitar, piano and violin” (For Folk’s Sake), tracks from ‘Houses’ have featured on various record label compilations and have received airplay on BBC Introducing amongst others.
Whilst Natalie continues work on her debut album, slated for release in 2016, new music will also be released in Japan and the US (Friend of Mine Records) including a split with well known US guitarist Yvette Young.
Natalie is perhaps best known for her live show. She has shared the stage with artists such as Yvette Young, Smoke Fairies, Tall Ships and Sea of Bees. Her intimate live performance combines her own multi-instrumentation with a second guitarist, pianist and backing singer that builds on the recorded material.
