Victorious Festival 2015 - Day Two - Southsea Seafront, Portsmouth
My second day shooting at Victorious Festival began with a main stage set from Texas, a performance more suited to the end of the evening, as they rolled out the hits, one after the other. Liverpool's Cast also delivered a single friendly stint, with the John Power led group reminding me how good their back catalogue is, with the likes of 'Walk Away', 'Sandstorm' and 'Finetime' making an appearance.
Early evening sets from The Darkness and Hayseed Dixie were also joys to shoot, with each band offering plenty picture opportunities.
After the previous day's torrential rain, it was a delight to be able to walk around without getting soaked, so I ventured to the Castle Stage on numerous occasions, taking in several performances including Brighton's Fickle Friends, Bipolar Sunshine, US Indie Rockers We Are Scientists, (who always bring a smile to my face) and Pop sensation Ella Eyre.
It was a shame that the last couple of acts on the two largest stages clashed with each other, but I think I made the right choice in watching Welsh wonders Super Furry Animals and Kinks frontman Ray Davies on the main Common Stage.
I had a great Weekend at Victorious, and would have loved to investigate the seven stages I didn't get to. There's always next year though, as I'll hopefully return again.
