Infadels - Jagger '67
Once upon a time, Primal Scream decided they needed to supplement their income and advertised a room to rent in their house. Along swaggered Infadels to a viewing, and ticked all the right boxes as prospective housemates. They were sure to be the ideal living companions, or so it seemed. However, once Infadels were moved in and The Scream were away on tour, liberties were taken; clothes were borrowed and milk was stolen. Yet this was just the tip of the iceberg, jealous glances were made at The Scream's girlfriend and before long Infadels copped off with their old producers - Hugo Nicholson and Jagz Kooner - as well as pillaging their back catalogue - Medication and Swastika Eyes - to make a record of their own, Jagger '67. Tragically, things turned bitter and sour for the listener. Instead of mustering some of the incendiary flicknife intimidation of their landlords, Infadels - all tuneless barking and Fisher Price buzz - served up a gaudy pastiche with all the menace and threat of a puppy dog at Christmas.
