Red Organ Serpent Sound - Debut Single Out Today

Following in the footsteps of 10 Minutes With My Dad, Dresden Dolls, Noblesse Oblige and Selfish Cunt are the latest performance art band: Red Organ Serpent Sound.

Red Organ Serpent Sound have their debut single 'In Search Of Orgasmuz’ released today on Vertigo Records.

More info on the band:

'A new band’s identity is something that is usually explained away with a set of trite facts: where they’re from, how they formed, who their influences are and perhaps even what they look like?

When it comes to Red Organ Serpent Sound all of those questions suddenly seem woefully inadequate and like Pandora’s box only serve to lead to more questions then there are answers.

In an attempt to begin - Red Organ Serpent Sound are five unusual souls from Derry, Northern Ireland. This in itself could begin to explain their detached otherworldliness. Perhaps suitably, this enclave of the empire has managed to produce a band that can only be described as individual, to use the word ‘alternative’, further compounds their otherness.

Headed up by the walking contradiction that is singer Rory Moore, here is a frontman with the romantic looks of his mystic Isle and yet he is literally a masked crusader heading up the band. Onstage, with all the charisma of a super-villain, Moore and his band Red Organ Serpent Sound are a physical conduit for his background in performance art. At last a frontman with front!

Backing him up are the rockers Jonny Nutt on bass and Dermot McGowan on keyboards, Chris McConaghy on guitar, and lastly but certainly not least, is the glue for this volatile and bizarre alchemy - drummer Philip ‘Wally’ Wallace. All five members come together like the dark yet colourful projections of some acid-fried mind.

The sounds are a combustible chemistry of New Wave meets 70’s Rock automatically fused with supercharged intergalactic country punk galvanised with Arthouse edginess all perfectly showcased in the debut single ‘In Search Of Orgasmuz’.

So that just leaves one question : Who or What is Orgasmuz ????'
