Various - The Very Best Of Now Dance

The Very Best Of Now Dance covers all bases of mainstream dance over the last twenty or so years, from Diana Ross' mums-at-the-disco Chain Reaction (1986) up to Goldfrapp's current saucy single Ooh La La. In between, there are rave classics (Let Me Be Your Fantasy), Ibiza anthems (Lola's Theme) and tweenie hits (Don't Stop Movin), while Basement Jaxx, The Chemical Brothers and Groove Armada prove that this genre can be a viable career, both critically and commercially. The bottom of the barrel is scraped however, and from the depths rise the likes of DJ Otzi, 2 Unlimited, M People and Chumbawamba, but for the most part this bumper compilation is good fun.
