T In The Park - Sunday - Balado
T's final fling at Balado was blessed with great weather after the previous day's washout. Fans celebrated in the sun over at the main stage while taking in a strangely female-free selection of acts, including Kodaline, Modfather Paul Weller and headliners Arctic Monkeys, closing the event to a rapturous crowd.
I was a bit peeved a couple of days earlier when a set from Scottish trio Chvrches clashed with Ellie Goulding so was extremely happy to find the group performing a "secret" show on the BBC Introducing stage. The band were on great form but the lighting sucked to high heaven, so was even happier to find out a few minutes later that they'd replaced a poorly London Grammar over on the outside Radio One stage, as it was a rare opportunity to shoot Lauren and the boys without their regular light show. Although a visual treat it isn't very photo friendly!
Both sets were certainly highlights of my weekend anyway, alongside Franz Ferdinand's evening stint on the King Tut's stage, as the Franz lads delivered a hits laden performance. with the very vocal audience joining in with each song.
T In The Park's final year at Balado was a great experience. I'm sure next Summer's event will be just as entertaining at their new home at Strathallan.
