Responsible for the sneering punk-funk version of Benny Benassi's Satisfaction currently doing the rounds, Whomadewho are a three-piece from Denmark. Excellent opening song Rose however is more typical, putting more emphasis on the funk (check the bass) and even disco. Much of this self-titled album is designed for dancing to, with the clattering pots 'n' pans rhythms and multiple percussion elements you might expect of the genre.

Space for rent has a campy Scissor Sisters style feel ("your thoughts are dirty and your clothes are too"). Aptly described The Loop (one of a number of instrumentals) and Shake your boat use cheesy, dated synth sounds to good effect, while Hello, empty room utilises a bonkers beeping horn, actually separating the funk and disco into verse and chorus respectively.

If not quite as sophisticated and epic as LCD Soundsystem or !!!, Whomadewho have at least delivered a promising, cool debut which should build on the cult status of their singles so far.
