Singles of the Week
What delights await us in the slim pickings this week? Let's find out...
Lovers of funky guitar riffs will appreciate this. With that and the smooth as butter vocals this is a definite for soul fans.
Released to tie in with their tour with The Rifles, Dexters' latest single 'The Hard Way' is a decent slice of indie rock that's slightly more subdued than previous outings 'Recover' and 'Start To Run' but arguably catchier.
A seemingly run of the mill indie track with shades of Interpol, it's sure to have its fans but feels like somewhat of a drone at points, so nothing particularly special but decent enough.
The title song from Johnny Flynn's excellent fourth album, 'Country Mile' ambles on at a brisk pace, the melody and arrangements are expansive like a clear blue sky, Flynn's rich baritone as beautiful as ever. Love it.

Single of the Week
This is a cracking piece of funky, hook laden indie pop-rock. Covered enough bases? If this is any indication of what a full album will be like it's an exciting prospect. Too many guitar bands sound alike these days but there's something interesting about these boys.
