Sound Island Festival - Sunday - Quex Park, Birchington

Sound Island Festival tales place at Quex Park in Birchington. The two day event showcases a host of chart-friendly acts, featuring household names alongside up-and-coming artistes.

The Sunday of SI was a day for earplugs, not because the acts were terrible though, but for the incessant screaming from the teenage fans of a male-heavy line up that included YouTube hits The Vamps, boy band rockers Lawson and X Factor faves Union J.

The Union boys weren't the only contestants of last year's Factor on the bill as Charlie and Sim AKA Dubstep crossover group MK1 also took the stage, with energetic glam pop band Joywride additionally appearing.

Although there were a lot of audience members swooning over their fave pin up throughout the day there were plenty attending just to take in Jessie J's headline set and I doubt they'd have gone home disappointed as Miss J was firing on all cylinders, delivering a dynamic performance that featured hits such as 'Price Tag', 'Do It Like A Dude' and 'Domino'.
