Music news round-up: Weds 30 Jan

Peace have announced details of their debut album, In Love. Produced by Jim Abiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele) and set for release through Columbia Records on March 25, the long player will be preceded by a re-vamped version of the single ‘Follow Baby’ on March 18.



Rdio, (www.rdio.com), the streaming music service from the co-creator of Skype, is now offering listeners up to six months of free music on the Web. New Rdio listeners can sign up and activate free streaming at rdio.com, with no credit card required, then browse Rdio's library of over 18 million songs.

Walk The Moon are set to release the 6 track Tightrope EP in the UK through RCA records on March 11th. The title track is taken from their current self titled album. They will also be visiting the UK for a run of UK headline dates next month, which will culminate in a show at London’s Scala on February 27th.

As well as single 'Tightrope' the EP will also feature three new recordings, a cover and a b-side recorded amidst the band’s end of 2012 touring schedule.

Dark Horses have announced that they have been invited by Noel Gallagher to support Kasabian at The Royal Albert Hall on the 22nd of March for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Their new double A side single 'Traps'/'Boxing Day' is released on the 11th March.

Icelanders Retro Stefson will release their new self-titled album on March 25th through Les Frères Stefson, their debut UK release. The album is accompanied by a London show at The Lexington on the same date.



Public Service Broadcasting have announced the release date of their debut album Inform - Educate – Entertain - on Monday 6th May.

J. Willgoose, Esq. and his drumming companion Wrigglesworth will embark on a mammoth 46-date tour of the UK in late February, March and May in support of their upcoming single (Signal 30' - 15th April) and album. Confirmed summer festival slots include Wickerman and Wychwood with many more yet to be announced.
