Various - Strictly Dance Fever
The soundtrack to the BBC Saturday night show is a cheesy mix of tunes to showcase various dance styles. Thus we have everything from old-fashioned rock 'n' roll (C'mon Everybody) to disco (actually, lots of disco) to the more modern likes of Lazy. There's a smattering of horrid novelty songs (step forward Lou Bega and Cher), and, even much of the better stuff included has become annoying through overexposure (Hey Ya! anyone?).
Still, you'd have to be the grumpy relative that sits in the corner with arms folded, refusing to wear a hat all night, not to find something here to shake your ass to. Should go down well with mum and gran at that family party, while briefly pleasing "the kids".
