Courteeners have announced that their new album ANNA will be out on February 4th through V2, preceding a week earlier by new single 'Lost Control' on January 28th. The band will be previewing tracks from the album on December 7th at Manchester's MEN Arena and at Brixton Academy as part of XFM's Winter Wonderland on December 17th. Tracklisting is as follows:

Sweden's post-metal stalwarts Cult Of Luna have announced new album Vertikal will be released via Indie Recordings in Europe on January 25th. Marking a much-anticipated return for the band after five years spent cultivating the ideas and directing the influences that have helped form a concept for the album, the band will prepare for the release with a full European tour in January next year, including four dates in this country.

It Bites will be releasing a new single in the shape of 'Cartoon Graveyard' on December 9th, a fitting close to a successful year for the band after the release of the album Map Of The Past. On top of this the band will be heading out on a UK tour in December, culminating in a co-headlining show in London with Frost*.

'Lay Down Your Weary Burden' and 'We Got A Lot' were on the Japanese version of Sonik Kicks and on the When Your Garden's Overgrown E.P, 'Portal To The Past' was on the 'Dangerous Age' single, 'Devotion' featured on the deluxe album & Japanese album, and finally, 'The Piper' was on The Attic EP. None have previously appeared on vinyl.
The shortlist for MTV Brand New For 2013 is set to be unveiled at an exclusive show at London's The Forum on November 28th. DJ Fresh will headline the gig where two of the nominees will also perform. This year, the tenth nominee will be the winner of the MTV Unsigned Competition, which is currently open to public voting at brandnewunsigned.mtv.co.uk until November 12th. In January, MTV will host two further gigs showcasing Brand New nominees.
Will Young has signed a brand new recording contract with Island Records, which will see his forthcoming albums released worldwide by the label. "After almost 11 happy fulfilling years at Sony records I have decided to move on now to Island records," Will commented in a statement. "It is with a huge sense of pride and excitement that I start the next stage of my pop career with Island records under the flag of Universal."
Noir-pop New York duo MS MR will release their new single 'Fantasy' in March 2013, with their debut album following in May. The duo play their second lot of UK dates at the end of this month as part of their European tour. Tickets are on sale now and details are as follows:
