The Somerset House Series returns for its fifth year this July with another exceptional line-up. This year London’s premiere open air venue welcomes Beth Orton, Doves, Queens Of The Stone Age, Super Furry Animals, The Mars Volta, Sigur Ros, Bright Eyes, Bloc Party and the double bill of Los Lobos and Orishas. Bloc Party are joined by The Kills and The Cribs. All the other supports are to be announced soon.
The courtyard of Somerset House, one of London’s most impressive buildings, has played host to an inspirational line-up for the past few years. The Somerset House Series has effortlessly established itself as a unique event in the summer’s live music calendar. For the past four years, sell out crowds have seen performances from Lambchop, Orbital, Jorge Ben Jor, Royksopp, Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man, Goldfrapp, Calexico, Yo La Tengo, PJ Harvey, Lemon Jelly, Bebel Gilberto, and Belle & Sebastian, amongst others. It is a chance for everyone to see exciting innovative artists in an utterly unique location. The Somerset House Series has developed into an essential destination for music lovers from across London and beyond. This year’s Series will be no exception.
