Soundgarden have announced that their new album King Animal will be out on November 12th through Vertigo Records. As previously announced, the album is the band's first in over 15 years and will be preceded by new single 'Been Away Too Long', available digitally from September 27th. 'You Never Asked' will be the first single from The D.O.T., the new musical project of Mike Skinner from The Streets and Rob Harvey from The Music. The single features guest vocals from Danny Brown and Clare Maguire, and will be available as a digital download only on October 8th, ahead of the release of debut album And That on October 22nd. Don Broco are set to release their new single ‘Hold On’ on November 19th. It's lifted from their debut album, Priorities, which is out now.

Bat for Lashes will release the single ‘All Your Gold’ on October 29th, the second official track to be taken from The Haunted Man, out October 15th on Parlophone.

Crystal Fighters are currently in the studio recording the follow up to their debut album Star Of Love, set for a spring 2013 release. In the meantime, the band have announced the release of a remix album of tracks from the original record. The band approached their favourite artists and producers and invited them to remix a track of their choice. The album Star Of Love (Remixes) is out on September 23rd on Zirkulo / PIAS / Atlantic Records.

Liars have announced details of remixes on their forthcoming single ‘Brats’, which is out on 12" and download on October 15th, and the reissue of their first three albums on vinyl. The 12” and download of 'Brats' includes remixes from Cadence Weapon, Vessel and David Scott Stone. ’Brats’ is the latest single to be taken from Liars’ sixth studio album WIXIW (pronounced “wish you”). In addition to the album, Crowns have announced two of their largest shows: October 26th sees the boys play the Lexington, London and November 3rd sees the band headline Falmouth Princess Pavilions. They are curating a line-up of fellow Cornish talent to complete the bill.

Award-winning Californian songwriter Melinda Ortner's forthcoming single, 'Sweet Little Lies', is now available to stream online.


Officially released October 8th, the single is taken from the recent Strangers EP which is available for a limited time on Ortner's Facebook page.
