Gibson announce new DJ goodies
Gibson Pro Audio has announced a trio of new products for budding DJs. Under the Stanton® name comes the new DJC.4 Virtual DJ Digital Workstation and the updated version 1.2 of Scratch DJ Academy MIX! software. Whilst over at Cerwin-Vega!® there is a new line of professional 10, 12 and 16 channel audio mixers.
The DJC.4 comes bundled with a four-deck version of Virtual DJ® LE, which allows users to scratch and mix four decks of audio as well as control video. Its built-in audio interface allows users to integrate turntables or CD decks into their performance. The control surface of the DJC.4 features large, touch-sensitive jog wheels, offering users extremely tight scratch and pitch bend control. The one-to-one mapping makes for a plug-in-and-play, out-of-the-box solution that eliminates all guesswork. The DJC.4 also includes shift functionality on all buttons and encoders, ensuring future equipment and functionality can be added with ease. In addition, there are two stereo Line/Phono inputs that can be used for Turntable/CD connections, as well as DVS control (with optional discounted Virtual DJ Pro upgrade).
Version 1.2 for Stanton’s popular Scratch DJ Academy MIX! software is designed for music fans who want to mix tracks from their personal digital music library, as well as for professional DJs who need a song analysis tool to refine their game and offers a host of new features over the previous iteration. Included in the upgrades are custom automation curves, independent mix settings and priority analyzation. Scratch DJ Academy MIX! is compatible with both Microsoft® Windows® and Apple Mac OS X® platforms. Version 1.2 is available as a trial download from the Stanton website.
Cerwin-Vega!® is introducing a line of professional audio mixers that are designed for live performance and recording applications. Available in 10, 12 or 16 channel versions, the new mixer range offers extensive features such as digital sound effects processing and USB input/output for laptop computer playback and recording. Built using premium-grade components that deliver precision audio performance, the mixers feature a commercial-grade metal housing for reliability and longevity. All three models of the CV Mixers feature four stereo line inputs and a MAIN L/R quarter-inch balanced TRS jack output, and combinations of mono line inputs and XLR microphone inputs. The 12- and 16-channel mixers also include a balanced XLR output and balanced sub group with alternate quarter-inch TRS output.
