Music news round-up: w/e 21 July
Austin, TX natives …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead have announced a string of live dates in support of what will be their 8th album, to be released this Autumn on Richter Scale/Superball/Century Media. Having spent the better part of the summer in Germany cutting new songs the band will take to the stages of Europe to debut these new efforts. Trail founders Conrad Keely and Jason Reece will be rejoined by mainstay members Autry Fulbright and Jamie Miller, who appeared both on the album and onstage for the Tao of the Dead. The UK dates are as follows;

The nautical doom outfit Ahab will play their first ever UK show headlining Doom Over London III in London on 17 November 17 at @Upstairs Relentless Garage. They’ll be joined by Witchsorrow, Faal and The Drowning, with more to be confirmed.
Blaqk Audio, the electronic duo consisting of Davey Havok and Jade Puget of AFI, will release their album Bright Black Heaven on September 24. Fans can go to blaqkaudio.com to download a free MP3 of ‘Bliss’.
'The Payback' will be the new single released by 21-year-old London singer/songwriter Archeo, out on September 2nd through his own label Music Mantra. Archeo is currently in the studio working on his debut album with producers including Mr. Waltmann and The White N3rd.
Scouting For Girls have announced that their third studio album The Light Between Us will be released on September 3rd, preceded by the first single to be taken from the album, 'Summertime In The City', on August 26th. The album was recorded in ten studios across the world, with five producers, and has been two years in the making. Check out a sample of 'Summertime In The City' below.
New Mercury Music signing Kristina Train will release her three-track EP Dream Of Me - her debut release on Mercury - on August 27th. Kristina's debut album Dark Black is set for release later this year so to whet the appetite, listen to the EP - recorded with Martin Craft in London, and with a track written by Ed Harcourt - on her official website
Marika Hackman's debut double A-side single 'You Come Down / Mountain Spines' - produced by Johnny Flynn and Adam Beach from the Sussex Wit - will be released on September 3rd through paradYse, the Trangressive imprint which has released tracks from Theme Park and Cold Specks. Marika will play a single launch show on September 4th at London Servant Jazz Quarters, before touring with Benjamin Francis Leftwich on his October/November UK tour. Listen to 'You Come Down' below.

Communion Records have announced that Irish singer-songwriter Foy Vance will release his new four-track Melrose EP on the 27th August.
This month OM shall release their brand new album Advaitic Songs on Drag City, and in support of the release the duo shall headline the Scala in London on Sunday 30th September. Tickets are priced at £15, and are on sale now.
