Music news round up: w/e 30 June

Ten years after the release of their much loved and lauded debut album, Surrey rock heroes Hundred Reasons have announced three very special anniversary shows, where they will perform Ideas Above Our Station in full. They will be joined by Hell Is For Heroes, who will also be performing their debut The Neon Handshake in its entirety, and Cable, who will be doing their first shows in thirteen years. The three dates are:

Thursday 22nd November - London The Coronet
Friday 23rd November – Manchester Academy 1
Saturday 24th November - London HMV Forum

Napalm Records have announced that American groove metal powerhouse Devildriver has joined their ranks. The legendary Los Angeles metal outfit, who has released a string of hard hitting albums since the early 2000s, signed a worldwide record deal with the Austrian label. A new album is tentatively scheduled for a release in 2013.

Los Angeles duo Tashaki Miyaki will release their new double A-side single 'Best Friend / Tonight' on August 6th through Luv Luv Luv Records. Check out the video for 'Best Friend', directed by Juan Igelsias, below and read on for the duo's upcoming UK shows.

'Glory Days' will be the new single released by Karima Francis, out on August 6th, a week before her new album The Remedy on August 13th. The track was produced by Flood and you can watch the video for it below.

Theme Park have announced that their new single 'Jamaica' - which received its first play on Huw Stephens' Radio 1 show on Wednesday - will be released on August 13th through Transgressive Records. A launch show will be announced soon but, for now, check out the video below.

Montenegrin classical guitarist Miloš Karadaglić has released the video for 'Quizás, Quizás, Quizás', taken from his new album Latino which is out now. Miloš plays the Royal Albert Hall on September 25th and tickets are on sale now.

Universal Music Group has signed Rod Stewart to a long-term worldwide recording agreement, a deal announced by Lucian Grainge, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Stewart and his manager, Arnold Stiefel.

As part of this multi-album deal, the two-time Hall of Famer has teamed with Grammy award-winning producer, songwriter and Verve Music Group Chairman David Foster to record his first Christmas album. The album will also feature a handful of star-studded vocal duets and is scheduled for release this fall via Verve Music Group.
