Dan Sartain - Too Tough To Live

Following up last year's rag-tag collection of rough and ready takes on his career so far, rockabilly rebel Dan Sartain returns with his most rip-roaring, raucous and unrestrained album to date. As the gloriously offensive ‘Fuck Friday’ exemplifies, this is a collection of angst, anger and downright hatred for the modern world. There is no down time, no filler, just pure punk power that explodes all around - with ‘Now, Now Now’ (featuring the dulcet tones of former Go-Go, Jane Wiedlin) being a particular highlight.

Rattling along at a breakneck speed, Too Tough To Live is done and dusted in under nineteen minutes, the perfect antidote to the bloated, anodyne conveyor belt of modern day pop-punk. Some idiots will complain it is nothing but a Ramones rip-off but, as Sartain himself might retort, ‘Boo Hoo Hoo’, fuck you.
