All Time Low - Cardiff University
If the bras and knickers being thrown onto the stage doesn't showcase it clearly enough, then the numerous fans queueing up outside the venue from 9am (on a Sunday, no less!) will have done: All Time Low are just a little bit loved by their fans. Tonight, the Baltimore four piece more than repay that love.
Even though last summer's Dirty Work was their major label debut, it was actually the quartet's fourth full-length and that experience now shows; the tight and energetic set saw those dedicated fans having to draw on energy reserves to keep up with what was happening on stage.
Their basic pop-punk output may not score highly on the critical radar, but there's a lot of style and live panache on display here. With their biggest ever gig to come at London's HMV Apollo later this week, it seems that, in the immortal words of Yazz - or indeed Otis Clay, your choice - the only way is up.
