Paul McCartney teases new album

Paul McCartney will release an as-yet untitled album on 6 February via Hear Music / Concord Records. Alongside two new McCartney compositions, the album features recordings of some of the classic songs he heard as a child in Liverpool.

The album was overseen by Grammy Award-winning producer Tommy LiPuma and Diana Krall and her band—as well as guest appearances from Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder. According to McCartney, he has been thinking about making the album for more than 20 years - “In the end it was ‘Look, if I don’t do it now, I’ll never do it,” he says.

The album was recorded at the legendary Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, New York and London throughout 2011. Guest musicians Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder feature, respectively, on the original compositions ‘My Valentine’ and ‘Only Our Hearts’.
