22-20s - Such A Fool

The powerful arrangement of 22-20s latest single, Such a Fool takes this Lincolnshire three-piece into a passionate territory; not only because of the words being dramatic, dark and severe but because of the tumultuous instrumentation makes this single a bluesy endeavor of self hatred by way of Martin Trimble’s psychedelic blues fret work.

Such a Fool makes previous single Why Don’t Do You It For Me? sound like a pop flavoured mint. Such A Fool has a mastered sound of guttural dirty blues that evokes images of Howling Wolf and Muddy Waters about to come to blows.

As well as the vocal earnest in the song, the rhythm section can not be ignored, as the slamming drums and heavy bass are tightly interwoven evoking the 22-20s rumbling soul. As a B Side, Such A Fool is there as a pure instrumental track – something too striking to pass by.
