With an EP due out in January next year, the enigma that are Stay+ have announced the release of a new single, 'Fever', out on November 7th. Available as a download and a 12" through RAMP Recordings, it is only the second release from the band who have in the past, answered interview questions purely by short video clips. Californians Tashaki Miyaki are to release their debut EP on October 31st on 12" and digital download via emerging UK label The Sounds Of Sweet Nothing. The self-titled four-track EP includes lead track 'Somethin' Better Than Nothin'' which you can see the video for right here:
Friends Electric are to play a free London show to mark the release of new single 'Puzzle Pieces' (out October 24th). The electro-pop foursome will play The Old Blue Last on October 26th and fans can get their tickets by emailing the band at PuzzlePiecesOBL@gmail.com with their name and password 'Jigsaw'.
M83 has announced a full UK tour for January 2012, with a second date in London at Shepherd’s Bush Empire after the Heaven show in December has sold out. Canadian folk band The Wilderness of Manitoba will be in London to play 2 consecutive gigs next week - Tamesis Dock Wednesday 27th September and the Slaughtered Lamb on Thursday 28th September.
CocknBullKid is set to headline the first in a new series of live events curated by Last FM. 'Live Fridays' will launch at the Garage on 7th October with performances from CocknBullKid, Jess Mills, and I Am Harlequin. There will also be dj sets from CocknBullKid and Last.fm djs. Finnish prog-rock siblings Von Hertzen Brothers will be playing London's Borderline on the 1st October. This appearance comes after a performance at High Voltage Festival during the summer and will feature support from Jurojin. Check out the video for latest track 'Always Been Right' below.
JLo has released the video to 'Papi', the third single to be taken from her recent album LOVE? which has sold over a million copies worldwide. 'Papi' is out on October 31st.
Ahead of her new album Voyageur (out next year, but with advance copies available from her upcoming shows), Kathleen Edwards will release a new 7" on October 17th through Zoë/Rounder Records. Wapusk was recorded in Fall Creek, Wisconsin and Toronto and co-produced by Edwards and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, who also provides backing vocals on the title track.
With their UK tour underway, All The Young have announced the release of new single 'Quiet Night In'. Out on October 10th through Midlands Calling / Warner Bros. Records, the track is the band's third single (following 'The First Time' and 'Welcome Home') and was produced by Garth "GGGarth" Richardson (Biffy Clyro) and mixed by Rich Costey (Muse). Tickets are still available for selected dates of their tour, which includes a homecoming show at King's Hall in Stoke.
Featuring vocals from Ms. Dynamite, 'Light Up (The World)' will be the next single released by MOBO nominee Yasmin. Produced by Shy FX, the single is out on November 6th through Levels Entertainment and Ministry Of Sound Records.
