Canadian rockers Brasstronaut have announced details of their new single. 'Opportunities' is out on September 19th, landing the week after the band play a four-date tour including three dates in London and one in Manchester.
'Puzzle Pieces' is set to be the next single released by electro pop-rockers Friends Electric. It's out on October 24th through The Blue Team and the band are going on a six-date UK tour to mark its release. Full tour details are as follows:

Jape release new album Ocean of Frequencies on October 17th. It says here that "they draw inspiration from the likes of Prefab Sprout, Caribou and the solo albums of Brian Eno, to create earworm melodies with the musical innovation of Beck and Steve Mason." Single 'You Make The Love' will be released on October 10th.
Australian 4 piece New Navy release the EP Uluwatu on 10th October. "New Navy balance sparkly guitars with front man Ben McInerny's smooth vocals, delivering strong bass-lines and breezy indie grooves to great effect. They have received impressive early support from radio and media with comparisons to Foals, The Whitest Boy Alive and Cold War Kids..."
Rough Trade have announced The Strange Boys’ third album Live Music (as in, living the music), the follow-up to ‘The Strange Boys’ and Girls’ Club (2009) and ‘Be Brave’ (2010). Half (side A) of ‘Live Music’ was recorded in April 2011 at the Austin home of producer/Spoon drummer Jim Eno. The second half (side B) was recorded in December 2010 at producer Mike McHugh’s Distillery, the same studio that ‘Be Brave’ was recorded in.
Treetop Flyers have unveiled the official video for their new single 'It's About Time' which is set for release on 19th September on independent London label Communion Records.
The video documents the band's busy summer of festival performances, from winning the Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition and playing the Other Stage at the festival in June, to playing Hop Farm, Blissfields, Festinho and more. The live shows continue with a UK tour later this month to support the single release.
