T In The Park 2011 - Sunday - A Review In Pictures - Balado, Kinross
Scotland's T In The Park Festival takes place in Balado. The event has been running since 1994 and celebrated its 18th birthday in style with three days of music, headlined by Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay and Foo Fighters.
I always find that "T" Sunday tends to be less hectic than the previous days, with fewer bands viewed. I still took in my fair share of sets though, with LA based female rock band Cherri Bomb popping my Sunday gig-going cherry!
My 2012 T In The Park experience wound down mid-evening with a couple of sets from 90s icons as I managed to take in "Mis-shapes" and "Something Changed" from the reformed Pulp then legged it onto the media bus to arrive in time for ex Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher's new band (or Oasis without his brother) Beady Eye. I hadn't shot Liam before so it was a bit of a novelty but I wasn't a fan of his first band and don't rate his new one so it wasn't really a rewarding experience, especially as the arena was full of neds lobbing pints at the stage! I was also trying to get to grips with a borrowed camera for the last two sets due to both my cameras giving up the ghost due to water damage and a cracked screen (oops!) earlier in the day so things weren't great shooting wise! One person that did seem to enjoy it though was Liam's missus - Nicole Appleton, as she was dancing away, side of stage, loving every minute of it.
I was tempted to hang around for Foo Fighters set after I had photographed Liam's lot but the weather was a bit ropey, with rain on the way, so decided to call it a day and head off home.
