This week's albums - 13 June 2011

This week is looking pretty strong with a number of high-scoring albums playing through the TMF hi-fi so far. While we wait for our Paul Simon review to go online, here's our pick of the rest...

Nerina Pallot is back for her fourth album, Year of the Wolf, which features significant input from Bernard Butler - opinion on the album is divided between those who like Butler's twiddling and those that don't.

The lightweight pop continues with Thomas Tantrum's latest - a far more mature efford this time around from Megan Thomas and the band, Mad by Moonlight is enjoyable pop fluff that will brighten up even the most rain-sodden English summer...

Sophie Ellis-Bextor's upper-class dance pop returns with Make A Scene; a long-awaited return to form from the Blue Peter offspring!

Finally Fink's acoustic Perfect Darkness rounds off our listening with some original easy-listening fun...
