Union Chapel To No Longer Host Gigs

London is about to lose one of it's best venues, with Islington's Union Chapel to stop hosting gigs as of January 2005.

The venue, essentially a barely-converted church, has hosted many superb gigs since opening in 1992, including performances from Low, Bjork and the Poylphonic Spree.

The closure has been blamed on a host of undisclosed internal and external pressures.
